so what's been going on....

truly the bottom line is...i have been busy! yep, i have clients. i am thankful and grateful. it has been incredible experience for me. can you tell that i am loving every minute of it? each client is unique and yet in some ways the same. each one is ready for that change out of whatever is their chaos. i have a five year old who said she feels like a new person. an 8 year old who stopped wetting his bed. on top of how the work impacts them, i too take away so much from it. i am interested in each person that i am working with.
my knowledge base is also growing so i am going to embark on some complimentary work. first i am exploring putting together a health and wellness day. i envision having a panel of experts that are related to this overall idea of living your best life (if you don't know i coined that from oprah). of course the day will conclude with a yoga class taught by yours truly. second, i am speaking with a homeless family shelter in marin that transitions families in to homes. yep, i want to help a family get organized and help them make their home feel like home...things like craigslist is going to come in handy with finding low cost items. sometimes a piece of furniture just needs a fresh coat of pain to look sharp again.
i am hoping to do more with this blog but as writing is not my speciality guess i will just do the best i can when i can.
i am in a good place and i just have to keep saying...thank you!

no clutter under the bed

What's under your bed can have as much influence as what is in it. Feng shui experts advise clearing all clutter and storage from under the bed.

i'm back

wow, it has been a while since i actually put words down. in that time period i have turned 45, gone to ny to work with organizing clients, attended a 3 day oprah work shop, taught yoga in vermont, attended family gatherings (on both sides) and officiated a wedding. yep, i have a new title. reverend. i am a yoga teacher, professional organizer, wedding marrying person! i used to think i wished that i just did one thing and only one thing but you know what that is not me. i have been blessed with a variety of gifts and i just need to embrace them. as my brother in law mike said to me for those with many gifts much is expected. now is the time for me to live up to that challenge.
each day, each moment is a new adventure. i am happy and blessed to take them all on.

home plate

create a home station. when i get home, i empty my pockets, purse and put everything on a tray near the front doorway. my husband does the same. keys, purse, cash, cell phone, anything you take with you when you leave the house. you never have to look for a thing when you walk out the door. now that's time saving.

day 5...socks

do you sometimes find that when you take your socks out of the dryer one is missing?
when you take off your TWO socks immediately put them into an individual cotton bag. when it is time to do wash throw that bag in the washer and then in the dryer. by the time they are done you will end up with both socks. also, if you are doing laundry for your family have a bag for each family member. because if you are like me, you hate that part of sorting out who gets what sucks. don't boys socks all look the same and god forbid you mix it up...save time and headaches with this easy solution.
