Susan Stroup Anderson is an accomplished and award-winning yoga practitioner and instructor. In 2003 she won the Northern California Yoga Asana Championships going on to represent California in the very first Bishnu Ghosh International Yoga Asana Championship where she won 6th place. In both 2008 and in 2009 she won first place in the Texas Regional Yoga Asana Championships and went on to compete at the national level placing in the top 10 in the United States women’s division. Primarily trained in Bikram Yoga, and acquiring advanced skills through a committed practice that has taken her to yoga trainings around the world, Susan offers a wealth of experience to each class and student she teaches. Over the last decade, she has taught in yoga studios from San Francisco to Vermont, and from London to Holland making Austin her home base since 2006. Along with teaching Bikram Yoga, Susan also instructs Classic Hatha styled yoga classes, meditation techniques, and Breathwork. Susan's teaching is marked by her exceptional ability to identify the capabilities and challenges of individual students and to gently encourage each student to enhance his or her well being through an inspired yoga practice. From beginners to advanced practitioners, Susan provides world-class instruction enhanced by her warm disposition and eagerness to share step-by-step the many tools she has developed over her focused yoga journey.
